Their focus is on building highly integrated, intelligent platforms capable of operating in demanding real-world environments.About the roleThis opportunity sits within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and centres on integrating complex subsystems into larger mechanical assemblies. You’ll operate at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, optical, and sensing technologies, ensuring all components come together into a cohesive, reliable, and production ready system.From packaging sensitive electronics to designing mounting structures and access features, you’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between individual components and full system performance.Key responsibilities:Design and integrate mechanical solutions for electronics enclosures, sensor mounts, optical systems, payloads, and cabling infrastructureTake ownership of subsystem interfaces and how components are installed within the overall assemblyDevelop layouts for structural elements such as brackets, bulkheads, hatches, and access panels with a focus on usability and manufacturabilityCollaborate closely with electrical teams to support cable routing and harness integrationContribute to system-level design reviews and cross-functional engineering effortsProduce detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, tolerances, and assembly instructionsConduct tolerance analysis and support environmental and vibration testingTroubleshoot and resolve integration challenges during design, build, and test phasesProvide hands-on support during prototype builds and system integration activitiesWhat we’re looking for:Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related disciplineMinimum of 2 years’ experience integrating mechanical and electrical systemsStrong experience in system-level design and packaging of electronics, sensors, or similar componentsProficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent)Understanding of thermal and electromagnetic considerations in mechanical designAbility to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplinesExperience working in fast-paced development or prototype environments is beneficialKnowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis is advantageousWhat’s on offerComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverageCompetitive salary with performance-related incentivesGenerous holiday allowance and paid parental leaveRetirement savings planEquity participation opportunitiesLife and disability insuranceAdditional office perks, including meals and refreshmentsInterested or know someone suitable?
