Medical Billing Specialist

**Overview:** We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Medical Biller will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of medical billing and collections, while also maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. **Responsibilities:** - Review and code patient medical records using ICD-10 and DRG coding systems - Verify patient information and insurance coverage - Generate and submit accurate and timely medical claims to insurance companies - Handle patient billing and collection calls in a professional and courteous manner - Manage and resolve billing and insurance issues in a timely and efficient manner - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and billing information - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted - Ensure compliance with medical billing and coding standards, as well as HIPAA regulations - Utilize medical billing software and systems to streamline and manage billing processes - Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers - Identify and correct any errors or discrepancies in billing and coding processes **Skills:** - Proficiency in medical billing and coding, including ICD-10 and DRG coding systems - Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures - Experience with medical billing software and systems - Ability to accurately code and bill medical claims - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Strong organizational and time management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality guidelines - Experience in medical collection and billing processes - Strong analytical skills to identify and correct errors or discrepancies - Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Certification in medical billing and coding is a plus.
