Senior Python Developer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic software engineering team. In this role, you will lead the development and maintenance of scalable backend systems, ensuring robust performance and seamless integration with front-end applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions, optimize system architecture, and implement best practices in software engineering. Your expertise will drive the development of high-quality APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure to meet evolving business needs. Duties Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend systems using Python, ensuring scalability and performance. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services utilizing frameworks such as Flask or Django to support web and mobile applications. Collaborate with front-end developers to create responsive UI components using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. Implement system design for distributed computing environments leveraging cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Write clean, efficient code with a focus on unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to uphold high quality standards. Integrate databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server; optimize database design for performance and scalability. Utilize version control tools like GitHub, SVN, or TFS within an Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) framework to manage project workflows. Design scalable APIs adhering to RESTful principles; ensure secure data exchange through SOAP or WCF web services when necessary. Apply UML for system modeling and UML-based documentation to facilitate clear communication across teams. Participate in system architecture discussions involving UML diagrams, UML modeling tools, and system design best practices. Skills Extensive experience with Python programming language in a professional setting. Proficiency in ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC frameworks for web application development. Strong knowledge of front-end development including React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, XML for creating engaging user interfaces. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services such as AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications. Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and cloud-based solutions for high availability and fault tolerance. Expertise in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL databases like MongoDB for data storage solutions. Familiarity with application design patterns including OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), UML modeling, and system design principles. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or TFS for automated testing and deployment processes. Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or SVN; adept at managing code repositories efficiently. Strong debugging skills combined with comprehensive knowledge of unit testing frameworks to ensure code quality. Ability to develop RESTful APIs following best practices; experience with SOAP-based web services is a plus. Familiarity with web development technologies including HTML5, CSS3, XSLT; proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as React Express is desirable. Understanding of multithreading concepts in Python to optimize application performance under concurrent loads. Knowledge of application security principles to safeguard data integrity across distributed systems and cloud environments.
