What Finance Operations Contributes To Cardinal HealthFinance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.Finance Operations is responsible for the oversight and overall performance of the following core financial processes. This includes pricing administration, rebates, cash application, chargebacks, billing, accounts payable and employee travel & expense.ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end supplier billing processes (including DSA, NLC, and deal-related billings) to manufacturers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timelinessMaintain a strong internal control environment by overseeing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and partnering with internal and external audit teamsOversee collections and dispute resolution processes, including monitoring and analyzing manufacturer receivable balances and agingPerform reconciliations of billing-related accrual accounts and proactively resolve discrepancies with manufacturersSupport financial close activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, to ensure accurate reportingEvaluate the supplier billing and rebate environment to identify risks and opportunities, providing insights to support forecasting and financial planningInterpret supplier contract terms and translate them into effective financial and operational processesCollaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Internal Audit, Legal, Accounting, Sourcing, and FP&A on initiatives impacting supplier billing operationsServe as a trusted finance partner to the Sourcing team by validating billings against contractual terms, pricing structures, and volume thresholdsInvestigate billing discrepancies and drive resolution through coordination with internal stakeholders and external partnersAssess system-based billing programs to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for optimizationReview, approve, and process billing payments, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policiesLead, develop, and manage a finance operations team supporting brand and consumer health product linesEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvementQualifications6-10 years of experience preferredBachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferredLocationIf local to Dublin, OH, candidate will be required to come into the Dublin, OH office 1-2 days per week with remote work the other days.
