Cloud Security Engineer

Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer Location: Hybrid (3 Days Remote / 2 Days On-site) – South Carolina Local Candidates Preferred: Candidates local to South Carolina are required. Candidates from Georgia or North Carolina will be considered if they are willing to relocate to South Carolina at their own expense.Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, network security, and firewall configurations to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5–10 years of experience in information security and engineering, with proven expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence two days a week.Key Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructures in AWS and Azure.Configure and manage Palo Alto VM series firewalls in cloud environments.Develop and automate cloud security operations.Perform cloud security assessments and implement security controls aligned with best practices.Document security tools, deployment configurations, incident reports, and security procedures.Collaborate with DevOps, architecture, and compliance teams to ensure secure cloud adoption.Stay updated on the latest cloud security trends, threats, and technologies.Required Skills and Qualifications:5–10 years of experience in Information Security and Engineering.5+ years of experience designing and maintaining infrastructure in AWS/Azure, including firewall configuration.Strong cloud security design, automation, and operations experience.Expertise in deploying and managing Palo Alto VM series firewalls.Demonstrated experience with security documentation (incident reports, deployment configurations, etc.).Must hold AWS or Azure certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator/Architect).Preferred Skills and Certifications:Experience with:Prisma CloudForescoutCisco UmbrellaF5 Load Balancers/FirewallsCertifications:CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)SC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity ArchitectAWS Certified Cloud Solutions ArchitectPrisma Certified Cloud Security EngineerPCNSA / PCNSEWork Environment:Hybrid model: 3 days remote, 2 days onsite.Must be able to work onsite in South Carolina.
