Procedure Tech Assistant

Southeast Neurology and Pain Management is seeking an energetic and organized Procedure Tech Assistant to join our growing practice. This part-time position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining a clean procedure pre/post op room for our physicians and patients, as well as, handling our procedure scheduling process. The candidate must have a “can-do” attitude and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We have a great procedure work week, Tues-Thurs 7:30AM-5:00PM with Fridays off! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare procedure packets prior to appts for the next business day Work alongside pre/post op RN to assist with intake vitals/recovery of patients Assist patients post-procedure out of office to their vehicles once recovered Conduct sterile prep of patients prior to procedures/injections Draw up medications for injection Operate Autoclave Machine, cleaning, packaging and sterilizing equipment Support and anticipate needs of the physician to ensure that procedures and injections go smoothly Organize procedure supplies and keep an inventory Conduct procedure confirmation calls for patients 24 hr in advance of appointments QUALIFICATIONS Detail-oriented and organized Have an understanding of EMR systems (Athena) and medical terminology Flexibility in job duties and assignments Demonstrate professionalism at all times Excellent communication skills Compliance with confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements of HIPAA EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Graduate or GED (required) Prior clinical/patient care experience (required) Phlebotomy experience (preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (preferred) Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 30 per week Work Location: In person
