VP Commercial Excellence - Global Specialty Ingredients BusinessA global specialty ingredients business is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Excellence to support the ongoing development of its commercial capabilities and customer engagement approach.Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will be responsible for defining and embedding a structured commercial excellence approach across the organisation, aligned to its strategic priorities.Working in close partnership with regional commercial teams, marketing, product management, and innovation functions, the role will focus on strengthening go-to-market execution, value proposition development, and overall commercial effectiveness.Key responsibilities include:Developing and implementing a commercial excellence framework to support consistent execution across regionsSupporting the evolution of go-to-market approaches across key markets and customer segmentsStrengthening customer value propositions, ensuring alignment with product and application strategiesPartnering with commercial leadership to enhance pricing approaches and value communicationDriving alignment across sales, marketing, product, and innovation teams to improve commercial outcomesEmbedding tools, processes, and best practices to support more effective commercial decision-makingSupporting the development of commercial capabilities across the organisationThe successful candidate will bring:Experience in commercial leadership, commercial excellence, or strategy roles within a B2B environmentBackground within ingredients, food, beverage, or similarly complex solution-led industriesExperience working across regions within a matrix organisationStrong understanding of value-based selling, pricing, and customer engagement approachesAbility to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignmentA structured and pragmatic approach to improving commercial performanceThe role is expected to be based in Chicago, with a hybrid working model.
