Embedded Software Engineer, Intelligence Systems

What you will do:Design and implement core infrastructure and platform services that enable other engineers to scale their outputBuild and maintain backend and web development frameworks and networking solutionsIntegrate model/software/hardware-in-the-loop components using first and third-party technologiesCollaborate with team members and partners in the autonomy domainCreate technologies and processes that enable users to safely and rapidly develop and deploy autonomous systems at scaleParticipate in technical design reviews and system architecture discussionsImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, and data management solutions Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics3+ years working with a variety of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript, etc.Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysisAbility to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code basesA desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impactAbility to travel up to 25% to both domestic and international locations, as neededEligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience building or inventing something: an app, a website, game, or startupProfessional software development lifecycle experience using tools such as version control, CI/CD systems, etc.Experience building scalable backend software systems with various data storage and processing requirementsExperience with industry standard cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and software infrastructure fundamentalsAbility to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code basesExperience with modern build and deployment tooling (e.g., NixOS, Terraform)Experience designing complex software systems and iterating upon designs via technical design reviewsFamiliarity with industry standard monitoring, logging, and data management tools and best practices Bison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
