Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a full-time Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to join our collaborative and mission-driven medical staff. The role requires strong clinical skills, comfort with ventilator management, and the ability to respond to medical emergencies.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct medical care to hospitalized patientsEvaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditionsDeliver evidence-based, patient-centered carePerform admissions, daily rounds, and dischargesCoordinate care plans and ensure smooth transitions of careOrder, interpret, and act on laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studiesDocument all patient encounters, care plans, and outcomes in the EMRRespond to medical emergencies, including codes and rapid response situationsProvide ventilator managementParticipate in interdisciplinary rounds and clinical meetingsEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up careParticipate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and medical ethicsAdditional Details:No procedures requiredSpecialty backup available (surgeons for central lines, respiratory therapy, Emergency Medicine physicians, and CRNAs)Not open to candidates commuting more than one hourNot open to locum or locum-to-perm candidatesNot open to candidates planning to hold another concurrent positionRequirements:MD or DO from an accredited medical schoolBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineActive Vermont Medical LicenseDEA BLS ACLS Ventilator management experienceExperience running codesClean malpractice history
