Our tagline says it all — Innovation, Ingenuity, Integrity.Position SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and versatile HR Generalist / Recruiter to join our team at Phiston HQ. This is a dual-focus role — roughly equal parts human resources and talent acquisition — ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to make a real impact at a growing company. You will be the first dedicated HR professional at Phiston, giving you the opportunity to build and shape our people operations from the ground up.Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition (50%)Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for open positions across departments including Engineering, Production, Field Service, Finance, Sales, and OperationsWrite and post job descriptions on relevant platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.)Source, screen, and schedule candidates; coordinate interviews with hiring managersMaintain and track applicant pipelines and provide regular updates to leadershipCoordinate offer letters and pre-employment processes (background checks, references)Support onboarding logistics for new hires across HQ and Virginia operationsBuild and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for recurring roleHuman Resources (50%)Serve as the day-to-day HR point of contact for employees across HQ and VirginiaMaintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation in compliance with federal and Florida state labor lawsAdminister and coordinate benefits enrollment and changes in partnership with carriersSupport payroll processing coordination with Paychex FlexAssist in developing and maintaining HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPsHandle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentialityTrack PTO, attendance, and leave of absence requestsSupport performance review processes and maintain documentationEnsure compliance with employment law across FL, VA, and applicable federal regulationsCoordinate with external legal counsel on employment-related matters as neededQualificationsRequired:3–5 years of experience in a combined HR and/or recruiting roleSolid understanding of HR best practices, employment law (federal, FL, VA)Experience managing full-cycle recruiting across multiple departmentsProficiency with HRIS systems, ATS platforms, and Microsoft Office / Google WorkspaceStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skills — written and verbalAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionComfortable working in a small, fast-moving company where you wear multiple hatsPreferred:Experience supporting a manufacturing, engineering, or technology companyFamiliarity with Paychex Flex or similar payroll platformsBilingual English / Spanish is a plusPHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certificationWhat We OfferCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and company holidaysA collaborative, entrepreneurial work environmentThe opportunity to build the HR function at a growing tech company with a global footprint
