Sales Application Engineer - Data Centers

For our client, we are seeking a Sales Application Engineer - Data Centers to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Energy & Utilities environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $140,000 – $150,000 annuallyResponsibilities Collaborate with Product Manager to define product requirements and roadmap for the Data Center vertical Conduct market research and customer interviews to identify emerging needs in power distribution solutions Translate market insights into actionable product specifications and business cases Engage directly with Business Development Managers to facilitate customer discussions and solution positioning Assist in the development of go-to-market strategies and sales tools for infrastructure applications Provide technical training and support to sales teams and channel partners Build relationships with stakeholders in consulting engineering and electrical contractingQualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field 3-5+ years of experience in a technical, product, or applications engineering role in electrical power systems or related industries Strong understanding of power distribution equipment like switchgear and ATS Familiarity with industry standards (UL, CSA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC/CEC) specific to Data Centers Ability to effectively translate customer needs into product requirements Must be able to travel up to 40% for customer engagements and site assessmentsBenefits Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage Spending accounts (HSA, Health Care FSA, and Dependent Care FSA) Paid Time Off and Holidays 401k Retirement Plan with Matching Employer Contributions Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance Paid Leaves Tuition AssistanceOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
