DescriptionThe SVP, Head of Treasury Management is responsible for managing the Treasury Management (TM) Department, business development officers (BDOs) of the department, and certain other staff members that support the business development efforts and the onboarding of new clients. The SVP Head of Treasury Management is responsible for ensuring the goals and objectives the department are achieved in business development, onboarding TM clients, ongoing support of TM clients, and other TM functions.Ensures compliance within all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesManages the hiring, mentoring, and performance management of direct reportsEnsures BDOs meet deposit production goals; provides training, coaching, and development when needed; and holds BDOs accountable when performance falls short of expectationsReviews work produced by the department to ensure it’s of high quality, especially documents presented to clients and prospective clients (proposals, cost comparison analysis, agreements, forms, etc.)Directs the department to deliver a streamline onboarding process to new TM clientsMaintains strong knowledge of current TM offerings available in the market and implements new products and services as needed for the Bank to remain competitive with peer banksMaintains a working knowledge of the Bank’s core and digital systems and serves as strategic adviser to the direction of the systems as they impact treasury clientsAligns closely with partners to evolve strategy as needed to deepen existing relationships and maximize deposit balancesOversees relationship reviews to identify opportunities and weaknesses that should be addressed Promotes community development, serves in the communities serviced by the Bank branches, and encourages BDOs to do the sameMinimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursedOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for the oversight of the TM Department and the direct supervision of the TM Business Development Officers and other TM personnel including training, coaching, and performance management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred or 5 years or more of related work experience Minimum of 5 years of TM sales experienceStrong working knowledge in TM products and services Effective problem solving, critical and strategic thinking skills, and attention to detail Exceptional organizational and time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage workload and to instill a sense of urgency in others as necessary to meet deadlines and goals Strong overall business acumen with an ability to understand the direction, priorities, and goals of the organization Exceptional interpersonal skills, presents a positive and professional image, effectively collaborates with diverse teams, and is successful at achieving results Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentPhysical/Mental Demands & Work EnvironmentThe incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.Travel is required.
