This job would be a great fit for someone with mortgage or title company background. It could even work for someone who has medical records experience! Summary/ObjectiveThe Records Coordinator will organize and create file management systems to assist various departments within the organization with retrieval, organization and data protection. Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: File all paperwork as needed for the human resource department; Sort all papers alphabetically and according to content, dates, significance that are to be filed electronically; Create electronic personnel files for all new employees; Responsible for maintaining personnel files according to ADA specifications. Ensure electronic documents are stored in designated systems according to best practices; Enter paperwork into an electronic system either by data entry or by using optical scanners Handle all requests to access files; Follow policies and confidentiality dictations to safeguard data and information; Assist with answering phone when receptionist is unavailable using good judgment to prioritize the distribution of messages in a timely manner; Partners with the Recruiters to ensure required documentation is filed during onboarding; Supports training program to track completed training of all staff in the electronic files and the HRIS; Works with supervisory team to ensure that training checklists are received and filed; Responsible for organizing personnel records for audits or in preparation of accreditations such as CARF; Ensures day to day that documents meet standards of the agency according to organizations that provide oversight of the CDD or per state and federal laws;Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) is a private, not-for-profit corporation founded in 1972 serving adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities within the greater Kansas City, MO area. CDD provides residential care services, employment services, day habilitation to adults, and a private school for students who are referred through the Kansas City Missouri area.
