Apply via Dice today!DescriptionThe IT Hardware Asset Analyst will be responsible for accurate and timely reporting of asset repository. Specific duties will include monitoring and updating ticketing system; reporting and root cause analysis of discrepancies in repository; inventory tracking and trend analysis; assist in daily, weekly, and monthly inventory discrepancy research and resolution; assess process adherence and provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders on findings. The Analyst must have the ability to develop and document operational processes and work instructions, efficiencies and best practices.Essential Functions: Analyze operational reports for data anomalies, discrepancies, and trend assessment.Review data for accuracy and completeness, identify gaps and drive change with appropriates teams.Coordinate lifecycle communications and planning with appropriate stakeholders (order, license/rights, install).Drive version control and application end of support awareness through research and analysis.Understanding of database normalization and relationship dependencies.Root cause analysis related to identified gaps and data trends.Support engineering team in identifying application packaging needs.Review existing process collateral and look for improvement related to software lifecycle management by the ITAM team.Work closely with other departments to ensure successful deployment of processes; providing communication when gaps are identified.Client facing/engaging for review of IT Software Asset Management service delivery or process modifications based on environment changes.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsRequired Education, Knowledge, and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent At least 2-3 years work experience in hardware management field Working knowledge of ServiceNow, SCCM or other repository and discovery tools Working knowledge of hardware troubleshootingGeneral understanding of either hardware configuration or software install use and discovery Experience in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Abilities and Skills:Ability to be driven, self-motivated, and collaborative; able to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, programs, and processesAbility to multi-task and work well under pressureSkilled in building strong client relationships and engaging stakeholders effectively.Skilled in client engagement and building strong relationshipsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysisExcellent written and verbal communicationHighly organized with strong attention to detailPhysical, Mental Requirements and Work Environment:Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periodsMust be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to lift and carry items weighing up to 15 lbsTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
