JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary The Safety Representative supports thedevelopment of a proactive, people-centered safety culture. Inconjunction with Safety Department Leadership, this role focuses onstrengthening safe work practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, andhelping associates at all levels understand that safety is a sharedresponsibility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, approachable, andCommitted To Continuous Improvement. Essential Functions JobResponsibilities Safety Culture Development o Promote a positive,collaborative safety mindset across the organization. o Encourageassociate involvement through conversations, educating, andparticipation in safety initiatives. o Support rollout of new safetyprograms, campaigns, and recognition efforts. o Help implement andreinforce safety programs as directed by Safety Department management,ensuring alignment with organizational decisions and priorities. oConduct regular walkthroughs of the manufacturing floor to maintain avisible safety presence and to provide support to associates. oFacilitate communication between associates and management regardingsafety concerns, acting as a liaison rather than a policy-settingauthority. Training and Communication o Deliver and coordinate safetytraining for new and existing associates. o Communicate safetyexpectations clearly and consistently through meetings, signage, andinformal interactions. o Assist in developing simple, practical safetymaterials such as job aids, toolbox talks, and visual standards. oEvaluate PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance. o Supportdepartments in ensuring that contractors/vendors working on site arecompliant with policies and safety requirements. Hazard Identification &Risk Reduction o Conduct routine safety inspections and walk throughs toidentify hazards and improvement opportunities. o Partner withleadership to implement corrective actions that are realistic andsustainable. o Support job safety analyses (JSAs) and ergonomicassessments. Incident Response & Investigation o Participate ininvestigations to determine root causes and propose preventativemeasures. o Track corrective actions and verify completion. o Maintainconfidentiality and a learning-focused approach with associates involvedin incidents. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation o Assist withcompliance efforts related to OSHA and other applicable regulations. oMaintain accurate records of inspections, training, incidents, andcorrective actions. o Support audits and regulatory visits as needed.Continuous Improvement o Contribute to safety committees andcross-functional improvement teams. o Monitor safety metrics and helpidentify trends. o Recommend to Safety Department management practicalimprovements to processes, equipment, and work practices. Maintain asafe, neat, and orderly work environment. Perform all duties in a mannerthat follows, demonstrates, and promotes Company\'s values. Report towork as scheduled, on time, and able to work entire work schedule.Perform Additional Duties As Assigned. Knowledge, Skills, And AbilityKnowledge of OSHA regulations and basic safety principles. Ability totroubleshoot complex situations and apply solid problem-solvingtechniques. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions basedon education/experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills;able to build trust with associates at all levels. Excellentcommunication skills, both verbal and written. Strong presentationskills. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Solidorganizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, andmanage time efficiently. Ability to be highly adaptable and responsiveto changing business needs. Possess a proactive attitude and continuousimprovement mindset. Ability to observe and identify details. Ability toeffectively communicate and perceive information. Ability to workxtended hours as scheduled, including weekends. Physical DemandsFrequent sitting. Frequent wrist manipulation. Frequent use of fingersto grasp, move or assemble varying sizes of objects. Manual dexterity totype and operate office equipment frequently. Frequent ability to beambulatory within a large manufacturing facility; including walking andstanding. Frequent light/medium work with lifting up to 15 pounds.Occasional medium work with lifting up to 40 pounds.
