Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Route Sales Driver is responsible for driving a company vehicle within an established route or territory and delivering goods and products to various customer locations. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.The Driver I is a DOT non-CDL driver, and may drive a Box Truck, and vehicles under 26,000 lb. Drivers are required to operate in an efficient, consistent, safe, and timely service.This is a full-time position and schedules will be Monday-FridayCOMPENSATION: The starting hourly rate for this position is $16.50Job ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:Loads product onto the truck dailyStocks product to par levels and maintaining accurate documentation of product levels via appropriate softwareReport sales, waste, customer concerns, and/or machine malfunctions dailyReport necessary maintenance or repairs needed on vehicle to managementPerforms all job duties in a safe manner by adhering to all driving regulations, company safety policies and procedures, andMaintains a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude towards customers, clients, and co-workersOther duties and tasks as assigned by managerMust complete a daily vehicle inspection form prior to driving and after finishing their route.Ensure a pleasant and clean atmosphere is always maintained in and out of the vehicleApply all safety equipment available, always wear seat belt when drivingOperate company vehicle weighing under 26,000 lb (GVW) transporting supplies and equipment to and from designated locationsDrivers are required to drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situationsFuel, clean, and inspect vehicle when required.Identify maintenance and safety issues and take the correct steps to correct them, and report malfunctions immediately.At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. In order to meet our commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice.QualificationsMust be age 21 years or older1 year + professional driving experience as well as customer service experienceMust have a valid Commercial Driver License (Class B or C) with a clean driving record showing 5 years of prior safe drivingMust pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical cardMust pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and participate in the random drug/alcohol testing poolMust complete and pass Defensive Driving Course prior to driving a company vehicleExperience driving in all weather conditions including winter weather and tire chain installationEquipment Used: Company Vehicle, Walkie-Talkie, Hand Truck, Computer, Hand Truck, Photocopier, Printer, Telephone,This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
