Investment Management Data Consultant
Position: Investment Management Data Consultant Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid) Job description: Need experience as Data Consultant in US Global MarketsShould have good data level business knowledge in Investment Management with prior experience of working on Data management related projects in at least one of the Traditional ETF Mutual Funds Hedge Funds and Private Market Funds Private Equity Credit Real Estate etc firmsHaving deep understanding of data attribute requirements for institutional entities accounts investment products strategies pricing valuations securities trade lifecycle and other reference data for MDM and analytical purposesExposure of working on an integrated investment data hub design consisting of investment data related to research ratings portfolio risk management asset management operations fund administration ABOR IBOR performance measurement fees expenses etcExperience of working with various market data vendor datasets from Bloomberg SP Pitchbook Refinitiv etc to support analysis of sourced and acquired dataFamiliarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards FATCACRS SEC MiFID II FINRA GDPR ESG disclosures impacting securities and client dataProficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel pivots formulas charts etcDevelop business requirement documentations such as source cataloging field mappings data processing logics flow designs taxonomy definitions service distributions etc with suitable enhancement recommendationsUnderstand and enhance business rules research data issues and propose data quality as well as help conduct data health checks to suggest process changes for efficient and consistent flow of data to usersLiaise with data stewards and domain owners to maintain CDEs metadata lineage and classification structures while ensuring accuracy consistency and integrity of data assets synchronized and standardized across platformsCollaborate with client onboarding servicing product management operations risk compliance and servicing teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutionsWork closely with technology product and compliance teams to define data strategy policies and controls for architecting solution and integrate reference master data into enterprise ecosystem that meet enterprise data governance frameworks and compliance requirementsExperience implementing MDM tools such as Informatica MDM Reltio MDM etc and or cloud-based data platforms like Databricks Snowflake AWS etcProven track record of working with key client stakeholders analysing existing data structures and being trusted advisor to define actionable insights on new data initiatives that align with business strategiesStrong Analytical Skills problem solving skillsFundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skillsExperience creating detailed reports and producing presentationsExcellent planning organizational and time management skillsStrong experience in SQL queries for data extraction data analysisStrong communication written verbal with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels technical and nontechnicalIdentify highimpact use cases where AI can accelerate insights improve efficiency and enhance returns will be a big plusRelevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional CDMP is a plusDomain: Investment Management, Market Data, US RegulationsSkill: Strategy formulation, Structured/Unstructured Data Analysis, Reference Architecture, Data Mapping & Modelling, Data Flow Designs, Data Management & Control Framework, BI Platforms (Excel, Tableau, PowerBI)
