This role proactively manages client-specific performance goals, develops permitting talent and technical capability, standardizes permitting data and processes, and partners closely with Project Management and Engineering leadership to drive schedule adherence and margin performance. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of leading a client-centric, data-driven, and scalable permitting team; with a strong work ethic and an ALL IN mindset to drive results.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Proactively manage client-specific permitting performance goals, ensuring alignment with contractual commitments, project schedules and financial targetsServe as a senior point of escalation for complex or high-risk permitting challenges, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to project deliveryEstablish clear service-level expectations, metrics and accountability across permitting workflowsLead, coach, and develop a high-performing permitting organization with a strong emphasis on technical proficiency, ownership and continuous improvementEstablish clear role expectations, performance standards, and build training/development plans to strengthen permitting expertise and operations across the teamOwn the centralization and standardization of permitting data, tools, and reporting to improve visibility, forecasting and decision-makingPartner with internal stakeholders to improve data accuracy, reporting cadence, and performance transparencyEvaluate subcontractor utilization and reduce reliance where financially advantageous, balancing cost quality and scalabilityAlign directly with Project Managers and Engineering leaders to drive schedule performance, mitigate risk and protect project marginsAct as a strategic partner in pre-construction planning, bid support and execution strategySupport scalable growth by aligning permitting capacity with business demand across rate card and bid workServes as a leader for a team and/or department, responsible for people management, production, performance, quality, training, etc.Creates and drives team KPI's to contribute to the overall department and team Scorecard SuccessUpholds ADB's safety culture, leads by example and drives the philosophy of ZERO throughout the entire organizationPerform additional responsibilities as neededSUCCESS FACTORS:Ability to travel up to 20% NationwideA strong belief in ZERO- Being Safe 100% of the time is the expectationAlignment with company mission, vision, and valuesStrong work ethic with an ALL IN attitudeA high level of customer centricityStrong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team membersAbility to perform in a fast-paced work environmentA high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skillsSelf-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goalsAbility to be organized, problem solve, and be solution orientedStrong ability to influence desired outcomes by master relationship buildingHigh level of professionalism and business acumenProficient with Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel, etc.)WORK ENVIRONMENT:Regularly works out of a controlled office environment; this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy machines, and smartphonesWill visit construction project sites; required to wear common PPE and safety equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, safety vests, steel toed boots, etc.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:5-7+ years of experience in Project Management, Permitting, or Engineering within the utility construction industry required3-5+ years leading people and processes within a department requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredValid Drivers license with the ability to travel nationwide is requiredThe starting pay for this position is $80,000 annually and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.ADB Companies, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
