This role ensures products, services, and processes consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The VP oversees enterprise-wide quality systems, continuous improvement efforts, audits, compliance, and quality culture development.Essential FunctionsStrategic LeadershipDevelop and execute the organization's long-term quality vision, strategy, and roadmap.Align quality initiatives with business objectives, customer needs, and market expectations.Provide thought leadership on quality management, innovation, and operational excellence.Quality Management Systems (QMS)Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the QMS across all sites.Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, FDA, AS9100).Lead internal and external audit programs and manage corrective and preventive actions.Operational Excellence & Continuous ImprovementChampion Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies to drive process optimization.Reduce defects, scrap, warranty claims, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).Implement standard work, process controls, and best practices across the enterprise.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop high-performing quality teams.Build succession plans and elevate talent capabilities across the function.Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.Customer & Supplier QualityPartner with customers to understand requirements and lead root cause analysis.Oversee supplier quality management.Strengthen relationships through proactive quality communication.Data, Analytics & ReportingUse data-driven insights to guide quality decisions.Report quality performance to executive leadership.Monitor key quality metrics and trends.Risk Management & ComplianceEnsure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.Anticipate risks and maintain strong controls.Oversee documentation and product release processes.Other Key ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Working ConditionsPrimarily working indoors, office environment.May sit for several hours at a time.Prolonged exposure to computer screens.Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.Certifications such as ASQ CQE, CSSBB, or CQM strongly preferred.10–15+ years of progressive leadership in quality, manufacturing, engineering, or operations.Proven experience leading enterprise-level quality programs.CompetenciesStrong executive communication.Deep understanding of quality methodologies and standards.High-level analytical and leadership skills.Supervisory ResponsibilityPositions reporting to this role:Director of QualityPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
