The company is committed to delivering exceptional services and solutions to its clients.DutiesProduce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportingPrepare and maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and project profitability reportsDevelop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projectionsPerform detailed variance analysis, with emphasis on labor cost performanceProvide actionable financial insights to leadership and operations teamsTrack burdened labor rates and labor productivity by trade and classificationOversee progress billing (AIA or equivalent) and ensure alignment with contract termsManage accounts receivable, collections, and retainageEnsure compliance with percentage-of-completion accountingTrack bonding, and lien requirementsTrack commitments vs. actual costsOversee vendor payments and resolve discrepanciesForecast and manage project and company cash flowImplement and enforce strong internal financial controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company financial policiesManage and optimize ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intaact, SCM)Partner with owner, superintendents and supporting departmentsProvide insight into labor efficiency across plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal scopesPresent financial and operational performance to ownerSupport strategic planning, workforce planning, and growth initiativesWork directly with accounting and payroll staffRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field7+ years of accounting/finance experience, including construction accountingStrong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accountingAdvanced Excel and ERP system proficiencyExperience using Sage Intaact and Sage Construction ManagementPreferredExperience in mechanical contracting (plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal)Experience supporting union, DOL, or third-party auditsKey SkillsDeep understanding of multi-union labor structures and fringe calculationsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detailStrong communication and management skillsAble to work effectively with field teams, union reps, and ownerStrong organizational and time management skillsFlexible and reliableAble to meet fast paced deadlinesBenefits:401(k) 4% MatchDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
