Behavioral Technician - Vulnerable Adults (Community Residential Services)Location: Apple ValleySchedule: Full-time, Part-time; day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts availableReports to: Designated CoordinatorPay: $25-$34 per hourAsleep Pay Rate: $12 per hourAbout the RoleBrightPath is hiring a Behavior Technician to support vulnerable adults in a 24-hour community residential setting. Individuals served may have serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or co-occurring behavioral and medical needs.This role requires maturity, consistency, and the ability to implement structured behavioral supports while ensuring safety and dignity.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver person-centered services in accordance with Coordinated Service and Support PlansImplement Positive Support Strategies and approved interventionsProvide medication support consistent with MN Statute 245D.05Assist with ADLs, money management, health coordination, and community accessComplete required documentation (progress notes, incident reports, GERs)Participate in daily team huddles and interdisciplinary meetingsMaintain safety in high-acuity environments (2:1 staffing when required)Required QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience providing direct support to adults with disabilities, mental health conditions, or behavioral challengesORAssociate's degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, human services, or related fieldExperience supporting individuals with interfering behaviors or psychiatric symptomsAbility to follow structured behavior and safety protocolsValid driver's licenseAbility to pass DHS background study Preferred Qualifications4 years of direct support experience in residential, crisis respite, or waiver-funded settingsORBachelor's degree in behavioral science, psychology, social work, or related fieldExperience with 245D documentation and licensing standardsExperience with Positive Supports Rule and emergency manual restraint protocolsFamiliarity with EHR documentation systemsExperience working with guardians and interdisciplinary teams What Sets You ApartResilient and emotionally steadyRespectful of client rights and autonomyStrong situational awarenessCommitted to compliance and documentation quality What BrightPath Provides245D-compliant training and annual recertificationCPI certificationOngoing supervision and performance coachingAdvancement opportunities into Lead, DC, or Clinical rolesEssential Note: Role requires working with individuals with significant behavioral support needs.
