We believe in creating products and partnerships that enable clinicians to deliver personalised healthcare to patients and that empower clinical researchers to develop the next generation of precision medicines.An opportunity has arisen in our North America commercial team for a Field Application Scientist (NGS).You would be responsible for technical support and customer training for our SureSeq™ NGS library prep, panels, and software products as well as supporting the commercial team in a pre- and post-sales capacity. We seek someone who is a self-motivated, critical thinker capable of adapting quickly to fluid scenarios utilizing their technical expertise with the goal of providing high level customer service.Your duties will include:Deliver training on OGT's NGS products including targeted NGS workflow execution (DNA to sequencer) and software installation/useProvide technical support of NGS products, both wet lab and softwareWork collaboratively with the North American Commercial team in pre and post-sales scenarios for NGS productsWork with Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Software, and Computational Biology teams to ensure the highest levels of customer service to accountsProvide customer requirements and feedback to facilitate Marketing, R&D, Software, and Computational Biology teams in development of future productsUnderstand customer needs and application of products for NGS utilizing continual learning of technologies, products and marketplaceOther duties and projects as assigned.What we're looking for in you:EssentialBachelor's degree or higher in Scientific DisciplineMinimum of 3 years hands-On experience processing NGS manually and performing NGS data analysisThorough knowledge of NGS applications/technologies and Molecular Biology techniquesSoftware/IT literateExcellent written and spoken English, along with the ability to communicate clearly and conciselyCustomer service orientedWell organized in approach with good time managementEffectively manage multiple tasks/accounts/priorities simultaneouslyA problem solverAble to work collaboratively with customers and colleague's with excellent attention to detailStrong analytical and judgement skillsMicrosoft Office skillsRemote employee based out of a home officeAvailability for minimum of 50% business travel to visit/support customers and attend appropriate exhibitions (ability to travel to Canada required and occasional travel to UK required).Desirable5 years hands-On experience processing NGS manually and performing NGS data analysisExperience with NGS Hybridization workflowsDemonstrated NGS troubleshooting experienceSequencing run setup and configuration for Illumina SequencersExperience with NGS sequencing metrics, results review and assessmentUnderstanding of CAP, CLIA and other NA clinical lab accreditations.In return you will receive: Competitive salaryCompany Bonus schemeCar reimbursementPension PlanHealthcare Package.Application is via CV & a one-page covering letter outlining your suitability for the role, salary expectations and notice periodPlease note that we will need to establish your right to work during the recruitment process.
