Plating Operator

Position SummaryA Plating Operator sets up, operates, and tends the plating or coating machines to coat metal with zinc, to protect or decorate surfaces. Includes electrolytic processes.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Ensures the proper operation of the plating by monitoring equipment and entering the correct data into the touch screen system and on the Plating Log as required.Ensures that parts are not mixed together by purging the machine based on the checkpoint maps and recording information to the straggler check sheets.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)High School Diploma / GEDBasic Computer SkillsPreferred:ISO / TS 16949 TrainingKnowledge of Safety and OSHA requirementsPreferred experience in a manufacturing environment and in a Plating or Coating Department – preferably in a Fastener IndustryPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
