This isn't just about decreasing labor and pesticides; it's about redefining our relationship with nature itself to grow in sync with its rhythm.Role OverviewGet into digital agricultural scouting by managing self-flying drones (typically M3E and M3D). This contract position is currently offered for seasonal work in August and September in northeastern Oregon and southeastern Washington. We offer flexible daylight work hours and up to full time work during the season. Gather crucial agricultural data by drone to aid farmers in crop management. Become an early expert user of Skysense AI: a transformative technology superior to the traditional NDVI maps. All you need is basic computer skills: no previous experience necessary with drone flying, agronomy, or AI. Invest in your future by joining the future of agriculture!Key ResponsibilitiesPilot drones using "mapping" missions to collect agricultural data.Manage and process a very large amount of drone images on-site.Collaborate with farmers, other pilots, and the data team.Drive your own truck or high-clearance AWD.QualificationsNo prior drone experience required.Must pass the FAA Part 107 test.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Honest, responsible, fast-learner who shows up on-time.Bachelor’s degree (Agriculture, Engineering, etc.) is a bonus but not mandatory.Experience or interest in agronomy and sales is a bonus but not mandatory.Experience in working on or around farms is a bonus but not mandatory.Additional DetailsFlexible work hours, primarily during daylight.Job locations range across Northeastern Oregon to Southeastern Washington.Comfort working from your vehicle.Hours during contract period is full-time.Use user-friendly DJI drones executing autonomous mapping missions.Prefer applicants who can start between Aug 12 and Aug 19.Prefer applicants who can commit to 2-6 weeks.How to ApplyExcited to start your journey using drones for digital agriculture with Skysense?Email us at rob@skysense.ag and be a part of the future of AI-enabled sustainable farming!
