This role will lead structural analysis, review, planning, estimating support, client communication, mentorship, and project oversight for heavy industrial engineering projects.This individual will play a major role in shaping workflows, improving operational structure, mentoring internal team members, and creating confidence for clients and leadership alike. The role requires someone who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining high technical standards and strong communication. The position also requires external visibility and relationship-building. The right person will be energized by autonomy, ownership, and the chance to make a lasting impact inside a growing organization.Responsibilities Include:Lead structural engineering efforts for heavy industrial projectsProvide structural analysis, technical review, and design oversightSupport estimating and proposal development activitiesMentor junior engineers and designersServe as a trusted technical resource for internal teamsCommunicate directly with clients regarding project needs and solutionsReview structural models and provide design guidanceSupport growth and development of the structural departmentParticipate in strategic planning and long-term department developmentCollaborate across disciplines to solve complex engineering challengesHelp establish standards, checks, balances, and quality controlsQualificationsPE/SE license strongly preferred or willingness/capability to pursue5-7 years of structural engineering experience preferredHeavy industrial project experience Strong communication and client-facing capabilitiesExperience mentoring or leading technical teamsFamiliarity with Revit, Inventor, RISA, and related analysis toolsAbility to balance technical work with operational leadershipStrong problem-solving and prioritization skillsHigh levels of professionalism, ownership, and accountabilityAbility to work inside fast-moving consulting environments
