The lighting retrofit foreman is responsible for the entirety of the construction project from start to finish, including personnel, safety, quality and customer service aspects.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating, scheduling, and supervising daily activities of construction staff and equipment needs for all phases
Giving clear directions, communicating effectively with site crew, and assigning work areas
Daily logs, work-orders, and client paperwork in Microsoft Excel format
Work with Project manager in recruitment and selection of new employees
Ensuring employees are adhering to safety and company policies
Train and assist new hires and current employees
Hold weekly job site safety meeting and log for references
Complete incident and accident reports as needed
Ensuring all equipment and tools are stored and secured properly
Electrical and Field Experience Requirements
Direct and train technicians in the replacement of electric light fixture parts, such as bulbs, tubes, ballast, and drivers
Oversee the repairing of fixture parts, ensure fixtures are cleaned
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, switches, and fixtures for a code compliant installation
Ensure technicians are using proper tools for the task at hand, according to company policy
Assist with loading or unloading of trucks and staging material when needed
Maintain tools and maintenance equipment in working order
Requisitions for materials needed for task at hand
Supervising and enforcing proper Lockout/Tagout procedures to reduce the risk of electrical shock, including daily Lockout/Tagout safety log
Excellent communication skills
Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed
Operate various electric and gasoline powered equipment used in the work being performed
Ability to regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Must have own basic hand tools (cordless drill, screwdrivers, etc.)
Must have transportation to and from jobsite
Must be able to pass Federal Background Check
Must be able to pass Drug Test
Education/Experience
2-year minimum Supervisor Field Experience
Journeyman Electrician License Preferred
Effective leadership skills
Time management skills
Computer, MS Office, and E-mail Proficiency
Lift experience required
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification required
Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Must have Aerial & Scissor lift Certification
NFPA 70e Certification Desired
