About the Role:
As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary objective is to manage guest seating efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. You will coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth operations and timely seating, contributing to overall customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to handle reservations, waitlists, and guest inquiries effectively. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
Basic computer skills to manage reservations and seating charts.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working as a host or in a similar front-of-house position.
Familiarity with reservation management software such as OpenTable or Resy.
Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
Knowledge of food and beverage menus to answer guest questions.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
Manage reservations and waitlists using the establishment’s booking system.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus as needed.
Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow.
Handle guest inquiries and resolve any seating-related issues or concerns professionally.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and entrance area.
Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
