Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Security Systems Sales Engineer to join our team. This role blends consultative sales with system design expertise, focusing on converting qualified inbound leads into awarded projects. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor—evaluating client needs, engineering compliant and effective security solutions, and managing opportunities from first conversation through close.This position supports a full range of low-voltage systems including access control, electronic locking hardware, video surveillance (CCTV/IP), burglar/intrusion alarms, fire alarm systems, intercoms, and related technologies.Key Responsibilities1. Client Engagement & Solution DevelopmentRespond to inbound inquiries and company generated leads for security system installationsMeet with clients to evaluate facilities, identify risks, and understand operational requirementsPerform on-site surveys and develop tailored system recommendationsWalk clients through proposed solutions and system capabilitiesDrive opportunities forward from consultation to signed agreement2. System Design & Technical PlanningEngineer integrated low-voltage security systems, including:Access control systemsVideo surveillance (CCTV/IP cameras)Intrusion and burglar alarm systemsFire alarm systemsIntercom and communication systemsMechanical and electronic locking hardwareDefine system architecture, layouts, and device placementsGenerate bill of materials (BOM), system schematics, and supporting documentationEnsure all designs align with manufacturer guidelines, applicable codes (NFPA), and company standards3. Costing, Proposals & Scope DevelopmentBuild detailed project estimates and professional proposalsClearly outline system scope, specifications, and installation requirementsCollaborate with internal teams to validate pricing and execution strategyPresent proposals and address both technical and budget-related questionsAdjust designs and pricing as needed based on client feedback4. Pipeline & Sales ExecutionOwn and manage sales opportunities from initial contact through project awardMaintain consistent communication and follow-ups with prospective clientsTrack progress and updates within CRM systemsCoordinate with operations, project management, and installation teams to align expectations5. Project Transition & Field SupportDeliver complete project documentation upon sale for a smooth handoffParticipate in kickoff meetings to review system design and scopeProvide technical insight or clarification during installation when required6.
