This role involves working closely with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate project pricing.What You'll DoEstimate costs for electrical construction projects ($10,000 to $5 million)Provide preliminary pricing based on discussions and available site conditionsAssist in designing projects that are not fully developedIdentify value engineering opportunities to optimize costsAccount for hidden costs (engineering, testing, commissioning, etc.)Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to refine estimatesAttend job site walk-throughs to assess field conditionsRequest and analyze material and equipment quotesPrepare detailed bid documents with scope letters and labor estimatesConvert preliminary budgets into finalized pricingParticipate in sales efforts and client meetingsMaintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and contractorsKeep project stakeholders updated on bid progressOther duties as assignedWhat you'll bringHigh school diploma or GED equivalent Electrical apprenticeship or bachelor's in Construction Management preferred, but not required 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in the commercial and/or industrial space Proficiency in Accubid, Word, Excel, Outlook, BluebeamStable work history (4-6 years per previous company)Strong understanding of labor factoring and takeoff strategiesAbility to supervise and lead an estimating teamStrong client relationship and negotiation skillsWhy Join Us?We're committed to attracting talented individuals who seek a company with a strong foundation of success and an outstanding culture.
