Python Backend DeveloperLocation: McLean, VA | HybridDuration: 5 MonthsJob OverviewWe are seeking a Python Backend Developer to join a team supporting voice biometrics and real-time voice data systems. This role will primarily focus on Python-based ETL and data pipeline development, with opportunities to contribute to API and backend development.The team is currently working on ingesting and converting historical voice data into the client's ecosystem, improving automation, and maintaining platform stability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and support Python-based ETL pipelines and data workflows.Build and maintain infrastructure around existing data pipelines.Support the ingestion, transformation, and conversion of historical voice data.Identify and implement opportunities to automate data conversion processes.Maintain and enhance backend systems supporting the voice-data platform.Work with PySpark, Apache Spark, AWS Glue, Snowflake, and SQL.Support enhancements and new features across existing systems.Contribute to Python-based API/backend development as needed.Support planned technical and network upgrades.Troubleshoot issues and proactively communicate risks and blockers.Work independently while collaborating effectively with the engineering team.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with Python.Experience developing ETL/data pipelines.Experience with PySpark and/or Apache Spark.Hands-on experience with AWS Glue.Strong SQL skills.Experience with Snowflake.Experience with API/backend development, preferably REST APIs.Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and migration.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with Asyncio and asynchronous Python programming.Experience with real-time data systems.Experience with voice data, biometrics, or audio-related platforms.Experience automating data migration or conversion processes.Experience with AWS-based data infrastructure.Technology StackPython | PySpark | Apache Spark | AWS | AWS Glue | Snowflake | SQL | ETL | Data Pipelines | REST APIs | Asyncio
