Associate Attorney -Estate Planning/Elder Law

Nugen Law is looking for an associate attorney licensed in the State of Indiana to join a growing Estate and Elder Law Practice with locations in Fort Wayne and Auburn Indiana – with a focus on the senior and elder community. Prior experience appreciated but not required. New members of the Indiana Bar may submit their resume. This position is perfect for an attorney with a passion for working with seniors and the elderly, seeking a predictable workday, desirous of an excellent work/life balance. Responsibilities: Preparation documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Deeds and related documents, formation companies, as well as preparation of applications for Medicaid and Veteran's Administration benefits. Meeting with clients to learn of their estate, asset protection and securing public benefits goals and then signing of established plans to implement their goals. Collaboration with other professionals (e.g., CPAs, Financial Advisors, Banks, etc.). Research on an as-needed basis. Ability to occasionally travel to clients physically unable to attend in-office meetings. Public Speaking on an occasional basis. Skills: Successful applicants will possess a pleasant and professional demeanor with patience and sensitivity to issues facing a mature clientele. Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, WealthCounsel Software, and ability to learn new software without intimidation. Detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Licensing: Indiana Bar Admission – licensed and in good standing. Firm also has clients in Florida, Ohio and Michigan – so multi-state admittance appreciated but not required. Resumes will be received in confidence.
