The Operations Coordinator - NPI supports Distribution Center readiness and execution for New Product Introductions (NPIs). This role serves as the primary operational coordinator within the DC, ensuring new products are ready to be received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped accurately and compliantly at launch.
This position focuses on hands-on coordination, system readiness, floor execution, and issue resolution, directly supporting speed-to-market and customer service performance.
Key Responsibilities
NPI Readiness & Execution
Act as the DC point of contact for new product introductions, supporting multiple launches annually.
Partner with Product, Supply Chain, Quality, Systems, and Commercial teams prior to launch to understand SKU attributes, volumes, handling needs, and timelines.
Translate NPI requirements into operational readiness actions across receiving, putaway, storage, picking, and shipping.
Coordinate space, labor, equipment, and WMS readiness to support on-time first receipt and shipment.
Operational Setup & Process Support
Support receiving, putaway, and slotting plans for new SKUs to ensure efficient material flow.
Coordinate with Inventory Control and WMS teams to ensure accurate SKU setup, locations, and system-directed processes.
Validate picking paths, kitting logic, and packing configurations for NPIs, including kits or special-handling items.
Execute NPI-specific quality checks at receipt to identify discrepancies or damages.
Floor Support & Communication
Provide on-floor support and training to DC associates on new product handling and procedures.
Communicate NPI receipt status, inventory availability, and execution risks to stakeholders.
Support issue resolution during launch windows and escalate risks as needed.
Performance Monitoring & Improvement
Track NPI operational metrics including dock-to-stock time, putaway accuracy, and initial order performance.
Participate in post-launch reviews to capture lessons learned and update SOPs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to NPI execution.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of DC operations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years experience in distribution or warehouse operations.
Experience supporting product launches, SKU onboarding, or NPIs in a DC environment.
Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Ability to translate product and volume information into operational execution steps.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in high-volume distribution or eCommerce fulfillment.
Exposure to slotting, dock-to-stock performance, or launch readiness.
Experience supporting kits, bundles, or special-handling SKUs.
Lean or continuous improvement exposure.
Experience working with 3PL-operated distribution centers.
Physical & Work Environment
Onsite work in a distribution center environment.
Ability to walk and stand on the warehouse floor for extended periods.
Flexibility to support off-shift or extended hours during launch activity.
