Data Engineer

W2 Position: Data EngineerLocation: Lone Tree, CO - locals+Onsite :4 days a weekInterview process: 2 video interviews to hireContract: 6 months extendable Must-have Skills / Experience • Strong SQL and data warehouse / database development (≈50% of role focus) • Hands‑on GCP experience (BigQuery required) • Python for ETL/data pipelines and loading data into BigQuery (native Python packages) • Experience designing and building data marts to support reporting and analytics • Reliable work ethic and proven contractor professionalism Important / Preferred Skills • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.) — ~20% of role focus • Some experience with prompting / AI pipelines and Copilot/Visual Studio workflows — ~20% of role focus • Prior experience in financial services is desirable but not required • No requirement for PySpark / Spark or specialized big‑data tooling for this short‑term role
