INTERNAL JOB POSTBackup Sanitation SupervisorThe Sanitation Supervisor ensures the facility and equipment are kept in an inspection ready condition at all times. The Supervisor will guide, train and lead the sanitation team and ensure that the facilities and equipment do not pose a food safety risk to our product. They must delegate to the sanitation team, using knowledge and experience to keep the plant clean. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate with other departments on plant needs.What can you expect on the job?Conduct chemical inventories on a weekly basis.Perform chemical titrations on a weekly basis.Communicate with sanitation on all three shifts regarding areas that need to be addressed.Assist in managing and maintaining the Master Cleaning Schedule.Train sanitation team on chemical usage, SDS, PPEs, SSOPs, and SOPs.Clean the equipment and have it ready for production.Maintain the production area in a sanitary condition.Inform Production manager/designee of any GMP infractions. (garbage being mishandled, work areas not being maintained, garbage no covered)Ensure that all sanitors have the knowledge and equipment they need to perform their jobs.Notify the Food Safety Manager of any possible food safety, personal safety or quality issues.Follows and provides necessary resource to meet the requirements of SQF code for sanitation and other elements.Participates in environmental monitoring program design, activities, swabbing plan, results discussion and trend review, including investigations, RC and CAPA if any.Modify team’s schedule based on cleaning needs.Other duties as needed.What will make you successful in the role?2-5 years sanitation experienceStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.Strong organizational ability.Ability to work in a cross-collaborative environment.Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications.Critical thinking skills.Ability to communicate in English and Spanish and possess basic reading and writing skills to effectively understand and complete work-related documents, safety protocols, and instructions.What will your schedule look like?The Backup Supervisor will cover the Sanitation Supervisor in their absence.Flexibility to work extra hours and support other shifts as needed.Compensation$27.50 per hour while covering the Supervisor duties in the absence of the primary department Supervisor.Overtime eligible.
