Job Title: Millwright Welder Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Millwright Welder to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate industrial equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate has experience with mechanical maintenance, welding, equipment installation, and preventative maintenance in manufacturing, recycling, steel, or heavy industrial environments. This position requires the ability to work safely, diagnose equipment issues, and perform quality repairs to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities: Install, repair, maintain, and dismantle industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding on structural steel, equipment, and machinery. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Align, level, and install motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, shafts, and other rotating equipment. Fabricate replacement parts and perform equipment modifications as needed. Diagnose mechanical failures and perform timely repairs. Replace bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, couplings, and hydraulic and pneumatic components. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability. Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, and rigging equipment safely. Follow all OSHA and company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues with supervisors. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or Welder in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficient in MIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding (TIG experience is a plus). Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Experience with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment. Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings. Familiarity with precision measuring tools and alignment procedures. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in physically demanding environments. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and emergency call-ins as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Millwright apprenticeship or technical certification. Experience in scrap metal recycling, steel mills, foundries, or other heavy industrial facilities. Experience operating overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
