Staff Accountant II

We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.ResponsibilitiesAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by preparing journal entries and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policiesPerform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations while investigating and resolving reconciling items and variancesPrepare financial analyses, schedules, and reports to support accounting activities and management reviewSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requestsExecute established accounting processes and internal controls consistently and accuratelyParticipate in process improvement initiatives and support accounting system enhancements under guidancePartner with cross‑functional teams including finance, operations, payroll, and accounts payable to ensure accurate accounting and timely resolution of issuesQualificationsEducation Requirements: Bachelor’s degreeExperience Requirements: 2–4 years experience in relevant fieldTravel requirement: No travel requirementsSupervisor ResponsibilityDirect Reports: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reportsIndirect Reports: Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reportsRequired Knowledge and SkillsExperience working in a SOX‑compliant environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to meet close‑driven deadlinesEffective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across departmentsAdvanced spreadsheet proficiency and experience with enterprise accounting systemsAbility to follow established procedures and internal controlsWillingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow in a structured accounting environmentEnvironmental & Physical RequirementsOffice / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
