Printing - Feeder (Continental A Shift, 6:45am - 7pm)

POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Printing Shift Supervisor, the Feeder is responsible for the unpacking of molded product and assisting with teardowns. A fully qualified Feeder will be skilled in the following key responsibilities areas, however, may only be required to perform one or more of the responsibilities at a given time.The Feeder will unpack product from boxes and fill in-feed elevators or in-feed spin bars. Feeders may be required to perform this function on multiple machines at one time (example, in-feed elevators or in-feed spin bars facing each other), or other machines to fill in for lunches and breaks.POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:Unpack product from boxes and fill in-feed elevators or in-feed spin barsFill in for other feeders on their lunches and breaksMaintain supply of boxes and U-boards for press operatorAssist Press Operators with teardownEnsure that machines and the area around the machines are cleanAssist operator in copy changes and mechanicalsAssist in clean-up of press and areaKeep operator informed of variation in molded productPerform other job duties as assignedSKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Educational Requirements: No minimum education experience required.Minimum Experience/Field: No previous experience required.Courses Required:Computer Skills: Good PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsAdditional Certificates/Diplomas:Licenses/Permits Required:Physical Requirements:Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skillsAdditional Education/Experience/Skills: Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to train and progress to Printing Operator.
