Test Engineering Technician

Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION The Vertiv Server Liquid Systems team is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform verification and validation of our data center liquid cooling infrastructure, controllers and thermal test vehicles. Work will include test execution, data analysis and debug of systems. A successful candidate will have experience in any of the following areas: test automation development, thermal testing, electrical testing and/or system product testing.ResponsibilitiesPlan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.Support and collaborate with engineers in activities to structure and develop system testing capabilities and products. Analyze and improve existing processes & designs, as requiredAbility to troubleshoot and correct issues.Assist in development of solutions or workarounds to resolve defects.Conduct tests, analyze data and make modifications to units being tested within limits of intermediate nature.Requires timely completion of assigned tasks.Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug test hardware, software and product interactions. Develop software to automate test tasks.Develop test network environments for devices under test.Document technical issues and solutions.Suggest fixes and improvements.Report activities, project status, and plans to team lead and management.Other Duties as assignedRequirementsTwo-year Associate's Degree + 1 year of experience OR at least 4 years of experience in IT, HVAC, or cooling system industriesConfident with data acquisition systems (DAQ)Familiarity with setting up software stress toolsThermocouple instrumentationThermal chamber operationFlow bench operationElectrical circuit debug and solderingCreating and following test plansCompiling data and creating test reports/summaries Familiarity with various testing techniquesExperience with developing test automation a plusExperience developing Python a plus.The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
