Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Woodbury, New York. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting practices and tax management. You will play a pivotal role in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations.Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries to support the organization's financial reporting.- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes with precision and efficiency.- Reconcile financial discrepancies by reviewing and analyzing general ledger accounts.- Handle corporate and sales tax filings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.- Support the preparation of corporate tax returns by gathering and organizing necessary financial data.- Utilize NetSuite software to manage general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting accuracy.- Monitor financial transactions to ensure proper documentation and adherence to company policies.- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as required.- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure timely and accurate compliance.
