Senior Director

OneSearch Group has partnered with an established Miami-based financial advisory firm with deep coverage across Latin America and the Caribbean to identify a Senior Director to lead origination and business development. The firm advises corporations, private equity sponsors, family-owned businesses, and institutional investors on cross-border M&A, capital raising, and complex situations across a broad range of industries active in the region.The Senior Director will play a central role in the firm's continued growth, with a primary mandate to originate new client engagements by activating an established network of corporates, private equity sponsors, family offices, family-owned businesses, institutional investors, and lenders active in the region. This is a senior, partner-track opportunity for a seasoned dealmaker who thrives in an entrepreneurial, senior-led boutique environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, hands-on advisory work.Key Responsibilities:Drive origination of new advisory mandates across the firm's service lines — including M&A, capital raising, and complex situations advisory — by leveraging existing relationships with corporates, private equity sponsors, family offices, family-owned businesses, lenders, and institutional investors throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.Build and execute a deliberate coverage plan across priority sectors, geographies, and counterparties, with a clear, measurable pipeline of mandate opportunities.Cultivate and deepen long-term, trust-based relationships with C-suite executives, board members, controlling shareholders, sponsors, creditors, and senior counterparts at leading legal, accounting, and financial institutions.Represent the firm externally at industry conferences, sector forums, and senior-level events, raising the firm's visibility and brand across target markets.Serve as a senior point of contact on cross-border M&A engagements for both investors evaluating opportunities in the region and regional companies seeking foreign capital, leveraging the firm's regional networks and execution experience.Counsel clients on positioning, valuation, deal structuring, and post-transaction integration strategy.Lead pitch development, proposal strategy, and engagement structuring, including positioning, scope, and economics.Originate and lead engagements in restructuring, turnaround, and special situations on behalf of creditors, sponsors, and family owners.Maintain active senior coverage of global capital providers — including financial sponsors, family offices, institutional investors, strategic acquirers, and lenders across the capital stack — and match capital providers with client needs across both equity and debt mandates.Lead clients through the full capital sourcing process, from sales strategy through due diligence and negotiations at closing.Mentor and develop Vice Presidents, Associates, and Analysts; participate in senior and junior talent recruiting.Help shape the firm's thought leadership and external positioning across the region.Qualifications:15–20 years of progressive experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or private equity, with a meaningful portion focused on Latin America and/or the Caribbean.Demonstrable track record of originating and closing cross-border M&A and/or capital markets transactions in the region.Established, active relationships with corporates, financial sponsors, family offices, institutional investors, lenders, and senior advisors across multiple jurisdictions in the region.Deep understanding of regional operating environments, regulatory frameworks, and deal cultures, with sensitivity to the dynamics of family-owned and closely held businesses.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.Full professional fluency in English and Spanish required; Portuguese strongly preferred given regional engagement profile.
