If you're looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing, mission driven company, Yotta Energy is the place for you.Position SummaryThe Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.This role oversees quality activities across product design, manufacturing, installation, and customer support while driving continuous improvement initiatives and supplier quality performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality engineering, root cause analysis, supplier quality management, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies within a manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesQuality Management SystemDevelop, implement, maintain, and audit the Quality Management System (QMS)Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards and customer requirementsCoordinate internal and external quality auditsProvide training and guidance on quality policies, procedures, and best practicesContinuous ImprovementLead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve product quality and operational efficiencyFacilitate continuous improvement projects across manufacturing and business processesAnalyze quality metrics, scrap rates, and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) dataDrive corrective and preventive actions to improve performanceProblem Solving & Corrective ActionLead investigations using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Why, Fishbone, and other root cause analysis toolsManage customer complaints and coordinate containment activitiesOversee corrective action implementation and verification of effectivenessSupport Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities and product containment processesSupplier Quality ManagementQualify, evaluate, and approve new suppliersConduct supplier audits and assessments using ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standardsMonitor supplier performance through KPIs, defect rates, and audit findingsDevelop supplier scorecards and improvement plansReview and approve PPAP documentation and supplier quality deliverablesProduct & Process QualitySupport APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and First Article InspectionsParticipate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Quality (DFQ) reviewsValidate supplier readiness for production launchesEnsure products meet customer specifications and reliability requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environmentExperience with Quality Management Systems and ISO standardsExperience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality performanceStrong background in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologiesPreferred QualificationsASQ Quality Engineer Certification or equivalentSix Sigma Green Belt certificationExperience with electronics manufacturing, metal fabrication, plastic injection molding, or painting processesTechnical CompetenciesQuality Management Systems (QMS) ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma methodologies APQP, PPAP, PFMEA Control Plans and Process Flow Diagrams First Article Inspection (FAI) Statistical analysis and quality metrics Key CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationLeadership and project management abilitiesAbility to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supplier teamsContinuous improvement mindset and customer-focused approachWorking ConditionsPrimarily office based with regular visits to manufacturing facilities and supplier locationsOccasional domestic travel requiredMay be required to participate in meetings with global teams outside normal business hoursWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package Collaborative, mission driven work environment Opportunity to work on innovative clean energy technologies Career growth and professional development opportunities Exposure to cutting edge energy management and cloud technologiesWhat We Offer Up to 135,000 a year DOE Comprehensive benefits package Collaborative, mission driven work environment Work Authorization RequirementCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.Why Join Yotta EnergyAt Yotta Energy you won’t be one of many, you’ll be a key leader helping define how our operations scale.
