Details: BC/BE Hematologist Oncologist to join a distinguished team of 7. Work closely with patients and their families to help them understand the cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and the potential side effects of treatment. Lead a cancer treatment team of various healthcare professionals Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment, including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy Respond to medical and oncologic emergencies in clinics Actively participant in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology by attending Divisional meetings, tumor board, and Department of Medicine Grand Rounds during your administrative time Perform bone marrow biopsies and other procedures as needed. Design and participate in clinical trials research with enrollment of patients into research studies Participate in ongoing multidisciplinary system specific conferences. We carefully monitor each patient during ongoing treatments, and meet weekly with a multidisciplinary team of other doctors to review cases. Patients have the option to participate in leading cancer trials years before they are FDA approved. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary oncology care.
