Railcar Re-Mark & Data Analytics Specialist

Job SummaryThe Re-Mark Fleet Analyst is responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining railcar reporting mark activities across AITX’s fleet. This role serves as the primary owner of re-mark tracking, mark transitions, fleet record accuracy, foreign mark usage reconciliation, and related billing activities.The position acts as a key partner across Fleet Operations, Portfolio Management, Mechanical, Engineering, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate asset identification, minimize mark-related costs, maintain data integrity, and support efficient fleet utilization.This role requires strong analytical capability, project coordination skills, and working knowledge of rail fleet data systems including UMLER, fleet management records, and reporting mark administration.Job DutiesRe-Mark Planning & Project CoordinationCoordinate railcar re-mark activities across AITX owned and managed assetsManage multiple re-mark initiatives simultaneously across repair shops, vendors, railroads, lessors, and operating environmentsMaintain future-state and current-state reporting mark recordsTrack project status, timing, dependencies, and implementation milestonesCoordinate re-mark execution with internal and external stakeholdersFleet Records & Data ManagementMaintain accurate reporting mark history and asset recordsReconcile fleet information between:Fleet Management System (FMS)UMLERRepair recordsPortfolio and ownership dataValidate accuracy of reporting mark changes and related asset updatesSupport audit activity and fleet record integrity initiativesForeign Mark Tracking & Cost ControlMonitor foreign mark usage across fleet activityTrack sold assets operating outside AITX ownershipReconcile foreign mark invoices against fleet records and re-mark activitySupport mark fee rebilling and cost recovery effortsReview and approve mark-related invoice activityIdentify opportunities to reduce mark expense exposureAnalytics & ReportingDevelop and maintain reporting related to:Re-mark activityFleet statusForeign mark usageCost trendsBilling recoveryAnalyze fleet data to identify discrepancies, risks, and process improvementsSupport ad hoc reporting requests for Fleet Operations and leadership teamsCross-Functional PartnershipPartner with:Fleet AdministrationEngineeringMechanicalPortfolio ManagementRepair OperationsExternal railroadsVendors and lessorsServe as internal subject matter resource for re-mark processes and fleet record managementEducation And ExperienceAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Supply Chain, Analytics, Accounting, or related field preferred3–5 years of experience in:Rail operationsFleet administrationAsset managementTransportation analyticsRail leasing or logistics environmentsExperience working with fleet records, reporting marks, UMLER, Railinc systems, asset tracking, or related databases preferredStrong analytical skills with advanced Excel capabilityExperience working with reconciliations, reporting, and large data sets #J-18808-Ljbffr
