The majority of our 1,700 students identify as Latinx or Hispanic and will be the first in their families to graduate from college. Start Date & Salary: August 2026. $39,950 - $58,450, commensurate with experience. Your ImpactProvide 1:1 individualized academic and behavioral support as outlined in their IEP to assigned student throughout the school daySupport the student's access to classroom instruction, helping them stay engaged with lessons and assignmentsProvide behavioral support and redirection aligned with the student's behavior planEncourage the student's independence and confidence while gradually reducing support when appropriateWork with staff to develop behavioral intervention plans and implement plans to ensure student learning and classroom behavior goals are metWork with staff to adapt and provide academic support plans for student with special needsHelp maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentConfer and collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations are met in inclusive settings; andProvide input for student's IEPQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred.Experience working with students with substantial behavioral needs.Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate with staff, school administrators, parents/guardians, and students.Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and development-focused team culture.Mission Alignment You share a commitment to and belief in all students and the mission of Excel Academy Charter Schools, including Excel's values and educational model;You are committed to addressing racial and economic inequity in education;You work effectively in a team environment and have a willingness and desire to support others in doing their best work; andYou are open to change, are willing to problem-solve, and seek feedback for your own professional growth and improvement.Preference will be given to applicants who share points of intersection with our students, such as speaking Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or a language commonly spoken by our students and families at an advanced level, being first generation college graduates, or having grown up low-income.
