MIS Software Application Programmer/Coder - II/Systems and Application Engineer
Overview
In this role you will support the OS and application infrastructure for ISD customer environments. You will maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems, hardware platforms, and vendor/custom applications. You will work with monitoring platforms and manage change processes, escalating in critical situations. You’ll collaborate across teams to meet SLAs and contribute to continuous improvement of operations. This position offers hands-on responsibility in a mission-critical, 24/7 operations context.
ResponsibilitiesSupport OS and application infrastructure for ISD customer environmentsMaintain Windows and Linux systems; hardware management (UCS B/C series)Support vendor and custom applications; manage Active Directory and SQLWork with VMWARE, SAN Storage, NetApp; Hosted/Managed solution supportUtilize monitoring platforms: SCOM, Service Manager, SCCMCreate change process documentation (MOPS) and perform standard changesEscalate and resolve complex technical issues; act as primary in critical event managementHandle client alerts and trouble tickets to meet contractual SLAsOwn escalation resolution; collaborate on cross-department projects (Verizon teams)Provide recommendations to Tier 3, Service Delivery, and management on improvements
