If you TRULY believe Fortune Favors the Bold… this is the place for you.Controller - DiversyFundPosition Overview:The Controller at DiversyFund will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities, with a strong focus on fund management, multifamily real estate, and fintech operations. This role will ensure the company maintains accurate financial records, complies with regulatory requirements, and provides strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The Controller will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Analysis:Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, with a focus on fund management and multifamily real estate portfolios.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant financial regulations specific to real estate and fintech.Provide detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, with insights tailored to the multifamily real estate and fintech sectors.Accounting Operations:Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices in real estate and fintech.Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting, particularly in relation to fund management and real estate transactions.Compliance & Audit:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including tax filings, with a focus on the specific needs of fund management and real estate investments.Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, providing all necessary documentation and explanations.Stay updated on accounting regulations and fintech developments, ensuring the company’s accounting practices remain compliant and innovative.Cash Flow Management:Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations, real estate investments, and fintech activities.Develop cash flow forecasts and report on the company’s financial health, with a focus on fund management strategies.Financial Planning & Strategy:Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop financial strategies and long-term plans tailored to fund management and multifamily real estate investments.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives in fintech.Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and investment strategies.Team Leadership:Lead and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, particularly in the context of fund management and real estate investment.Ensure the team is trained on the latest accounting standards, fintech innovations, and company policies.Systems & Process Improvement:Evaluate and enhance financial systems, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy, with a focus on integrating fintech solutions.Lead initiatives to automate accounting processes and implement new financial technologies relevant to fund management and real estate.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role, specifically in fund management, multifamily real estate, and fintech industries.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, fund management, real estate accounting, and fintech solutions.
