We are looking for a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsNuclear Medical Technologist Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are seeking a Florida-licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scansPrepare, administer and record dosages of radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' ordersPerform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic filmPosition patients and adjust immobilization devicesCompassionately explain procedures to patients and address any concernsMonitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)May also assist with transporting patients as needed Qualifications High School Graduate or GEDAssociate Degree Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program (AMA-approved institution)Clear/Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine TechnologistCurrent NMTCB or ARRT (NM) credentialCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationKnowledge of specialty equipment tools: GAMMA camerasAbility to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is a 215 bed acute care hospital.
