Asset-Backed Finance Lead Banker
The Asset-Backed Finance Lead Banker will play a key role in the origination, structuring, underwriting, and execution of structured finance transactions. This role supports structured financing solutions to financial sponsors, corporates, private equity funds, and specialty finance companies across a range of asset classes. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to structure bespoke, risk-adjusted financing solutions tailored to specific asset and borrower profiles.Key Responsibilities And DutiesSupport and lead the structuring, execution and ongoing monitoring of structured finance transactions, including bilateral and syndicated financings.Analyze asset pools and develop cash flow models to support transaction structures and underwriting decisions.Coordinate the preparation of credit memos, due diligence reports, and term sheets for internal and external use.Coordinate with legal, credit and operations teams through deal execution and closing.Assess the creditworthiness of counterparties, underlying asset performance, and structural features of proposed deals.Monitoring performance and support risk management and regulatory reporting requirements.Assist senior bankers with business development activities, including pitchbooks, client presentations, and proposal development. Engage with clients, sponsors, advisors, and rating agencies to facilitate transactions and support relationship building.Maintain a working knowledge of structured product types and market dynamics; contributing to innovation in deal structuring and product evolution to meet evolving client and market needs.Guides associates and analysts, providing clear direction and feedback; delegates effectively while maintaining quality control over deliverables; mentor to junior bankers.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of experience at a financial institution in loan underwriting or portfolio management, preferably within Asset Backed Finance, or other Structured Finance sectorsDemonstrated expertise in structured credit underwriting and execution of new business transactionsProven ability to prioritize work effectively, drive execution of junior level deliverables, meet deadlines, and achieve goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex conceptsAbility and willingness to travel up to 15% of the timeRole Specific Work Experience5+ Years Required; 7+ Years PreferredEducational RequirementsUniversity (Degree) PreferredPhysical RequirementsPhysical Requirements: Sedentary WorkCareer Level8IC$191,300 - $258,700 ,EverBank, N.A. is a nationwide specialty bank providing high-value products and services to consumer and commercial clients nationwide.
