Outside Parts Sales Representative

About the Role:As an Outside Parts Sales Representative­­­­, you will be responsible for developing a personal network within the sales territory to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation.Your Responsibilities:Initiates sales calls to current and prospective customers from branch officeUtilizes suggestive selling techniques to encourage additional sales of specialsCompletes all quote requests from these callsEstablishes weekly route for personal sales callsOccasional retail counter responsibilities at the branch locationPulls and loads items from parts warehouse that are necessary to keep a well-stocked and organized parts truckDrives parts delivery truck to customer's establishments (frequently requires overnight stay) and unloads sold products to customerVisually inspects all parts inventory and recommends additional replacement ordersKeeps abreast of company product updates, changes in technology and industry trendsPerforms other job-related duties as assignedLet's Talk About Your Qualifications:Associates Degree, Trade or Technical School preferredIn-depth knowledge of the trailer industry.Comprehensive knowledge of trailer parts and their applicationsInteraction and communication with company personnel, vendors, existing customers and potential customersMust possess professional sales and effective communication skillsMust have a valid and appropriate license and the ability to safely drive long-distancesStrong organizational and time management skillsWorking Conditions/Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
