Senior Accountant Financial Reporting
Addison Group is partnering with a rapidly growing, publicly traded global leader to identify a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant.This is a highly visible role focused on SEC reporting, equity-based compensation, and technical accounting research.Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 1–2 days in office)Key Responsibilities:Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and 8-KsPrepare financial statement tie-outs, footnotes, and supporting schedulesSupport equity-based compensation accounting, dividends, and related journal entriesResearch technical accounting guidance and evaluate disclosure impactsPrepare GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists to ensure complianceAssist with quarterly EPS calculations and external audit supportHelp maintain SEC reporting controls, policies, and proceduresIdentify process improvements and support special projects as needQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA required3–4 years of public accounting and/or SEC reporting experienceStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools such as Workiva is a plusStrong communication, organizational, and analytical skillsWhy This Role:Join a high-growth, innovative organizationStrong visibility and cross-functional exposureCollaborative, team-oriented cultureEmphasis on process improvement, automation, and career developmentCompensation & Benefits:Base salary: $100K–$110K + 10% annual bonusBlue Cross Blue Shield medical coverageLife and disability insuranceComprehensive benefits packageHybrid work schedule ( 2 days/week in office)
